You can load and save configuration profiles for the data contained on the following forms:
The primary benefit of this feature is that it enables you to obtain a configuration profile from Mitel Online for a particular SIP device or trunk type and then load it to the system. For example, after obtaining the configuration profile for a Mitel 5603 Wireless Telephone, you can upload it to your system and then amend the details to suit your particular implementation. This speeds and simplifies system programming.
You can also use this feature to download a configuration profile for a device or peer and then upload it to the database on a different system. For example, after creating a SIP profile on the SIP Device Capabilities form, you can save it in .CSV format, modify the file using Microsoft Excel (if necessary), and load it to another system.
To modify data you need Microsoft Excel 97 (SR-2), Excel 2000 (SP 3), Excel 2003 (SP 2) or higher installed on your PC.
The following system-specific data is not included in the load/save process:
SIP Device Capabilities form: "SIP Device Capabilities Number" on Basic.
SIP Peer Profile form: all fields on Basic; "Alternate Destination Domain or IP Address" on Call Routing; "Default CPN" on Calling Line ID; all fields on Outgoing DID Ranges.
On the SIP Device Capabilities form, profiles 65 and up are pre-configured for certain Mitel SIP devices. You can use these profiles "as is" or modify them to fit your requirements.
